Hi I’m Joe, I’ve been designing for over 15 years.
Although in my career I use the MAC, Adobe CS, Flash, HTML, PHP, FTP servers, PDF’s, hires, lores, EPS, AI, PSD, WI-FI, Bluetooth, back-ups, logins and all that other stuff, I have always been fascinated with the old school process of hand typesetting and letterpress. People have forgotten that setting type is as much an art as it is a skill.

I also love building things by hand, from house renos to woodworking projects. These are skills inheirited from my Father. He was a metal worker, a gardener, a mechanic, an artist and sometimes an engineer – he simply created things. By trade he was actually a brick layer.

Letterpress gives me the opportunity to marry 2 of my passions. Designing, typography, tweeking the press, mixing inks, pulling the lever and humbly smiling at the finished product is extremely rewarding.
